Copper Metal Coating Type C

Metal Coatings Type C

May be used in conjunction with the patinas to simulate a metal finish.
They may be used on glass, wood, ceramics, and more.
These coatings are made of a ground metal in a water base and were initially created over 20 years ago to simulate copper roofing material.
Their durability has been extensively tested in both indoor and outdoor environments.
One Gallon of Metal Coating will cover 100 square feet with two layers.
Type B is ready to use in a single solution and is recomended as the first coating.
Type C is a three part system including a hardner and catalyst which needs to be mixed prior to use.
Type C contians more metal and is recomened for the final coat as it accepts a patina better than Type B.

Features:

These coatings may be aplied by air brush, sponge, brush, etc.
They will adhere to all types of surfaces except for mirror smooth items or highly polished surfaces.
Patinas may be applied to metal coating Type B either wet or dry, although the patina reaction will be better when the Metal Coating is freshly applied.
Once the Metal Coating has cured it may be burnished back for highlighting - or to apply more patina.
The Metal Coating may also be burnished back with steel wool to create a nice shine.
Two coats are recomended, it is common to use Type B as the first coat and Type C as the second.
May be applied over our texture paint to create different affects.

All of our Metal Coatings are very durable outside (10 to 15 years) are water based, non-hazardous and clean up with soap and water.
